Advantages of becoming a Member

Manawatu Golf Club members
  • You will join over 1000 like-minded members at NZ's 13th ranked golf course (2015).

  • Playing rights on days as defined by your membership category.

  • Access to the members section of our website which provides online tee booking facilities, up to date club news and results.

  • Each member is able to maintain an official golf handicap (a levy to NZ Golf is incorporated into your membership cost for administration of this service).

  • The ability to participate in club days (depending on your membership category). We offer a variety of competitions throughout the year which ensures that there are always other people to play with.

  • Cheaper (affiliated) green fee rates all over the country.

  • Cafe and bar discount.

  • Joining a club with a vibrant social scene where friends and family are welcome to join you - regular organised events include trivia nights, wine and beer matching dinners, twilight golf, themed dinners and the bi-annual Club Ball. A range of other social events and outings are arranged throughout the year by the social committee and our various golf divisions.

  • The opportunity to make contacts with a variety of club members, great for personal and business networking.

  • The club has reciprocal right agreements with a number of clubs throughout the country and overseas, which allow you to play on these courses without the requirement to pay a green fee. A list of the Reciprocal Clubs is listed here.

Perhaps the biggest advantage of all is you can escape the hustle and bustle of city life and enjoy regular exercise and fresh air while playing golf on a scenic parklike course within the city boundary, where parking is free, and the grass is mown for you every day.
